Matomatic has enjoyed writing original tunes for the better part of two decades. Matomatic typically performs all of the instruments on his recordings and has relied heavily on home recording equipment and self-production. Though primarily focused on solo material, Matomatic did enjoy being part of several original bands (The Back Jacks, TheJackturners, Jolzenpop, Hobson's Choice, The Pleasures and Superband).
