Hey I am Matt Cass aka Matt Cascarella, and I am just like everyother kid in the Suburbs of Long Island, NY. I grew up heavily unfluence by music. My father was in bands throughout his whole life and he taught me everything I know. When I was able to talk I was singing. Whether it was a Disney movie song or anything from the Beatles no matter what I was doing I was singing. When I was about 5 years old I got my first guitar. It was a Squire Mini Acoustic that my Dad bought me for christmas. The first thing I ever learned was Smoke On the Water (solely on the E string) andI played it every single day. As I grew older my dad taught me chords and power chords and I even got a huge chart/poster I had hung in my room for when I practiced. When I hit about 9 I got my first drumset. Groove Percussion black drums. Basic setup up but to me they were amazing. As time grew on I became more focused on playing and at around 13 I began writing my own songs and lyrics. When I was 17 I got my first studio mixer. It was a Zoom multi track mixer with a built in CD burner. I used that for 3/4 songs. Just recently (Summer of 08) I got ProTool 7 and I LOVEEEE it. I think it is amazing and I recorded my 4th song up here "Walk Alone" on it. Music has always been the driving force in my life and I cannot wait on seeing where it takes me. Currently I am studying Arts Managment concentrating in Music at Long Island University at CW Post.
