RED ASPHALT breaking up after playing bass for them almost three, the band went its different ways. Leaving with nothing except GREAT memories we had together and some contacts. I was suppose to join another band after the LAST show with RED ASPHALT DEC 29th 2007, but not working out. I decided to form a band which is now 67 SOUTH band. I looked around to find a guitarist, wanting to do all types of music. I found RAY HULL which he was the first original LEAD GUITARIST for BOOT HILL, but being replaced after seven or eight months, without him even knowing it. Now RAY HULL has a home... never to worry about being replaced. RAY maybe mature then the rest of band, but he is wise, willing and ready to play hard. So now here's his chance to shine and have a say in this band. Ray's style of music is very wide. Willing to do KISS and some NICKLEBACK, maybe some BUCKCHERRY... He comes from BUDDY HOLLY, CCR, GRAND FUNK, and GARY MOORE era. Now the third member of this band, DRUMMER comes from all styles of music in local bands. METAL, CLASSIC ROCK, FUNK, down to COUNTRY. MONTY KATES... one a the greatest local DRUMMERS in Indiana. Plus my cousin' KATES plays for BENT PENNY and local ANDERSON band. But was the original DRUMMER of BOOT HILL, but was KICKED OUT due he was not wanted anymore, just to keep it short. Most of us know the TRUE STORY.MONTY and I had played in the past with local ANDERSON, HARTFORD CITY, bands. One time we had an all original band. Which did a few shows around, it was just DRUMS and BASS only. So here we are with knowledge of alot of songs, but re-inviting a different type of band which will be for the PEOPLE and VENUES. For awhile until we can build more knowledge of songs. We'll play by SET LISTS, but the more with perform out in the PUBLIC we'll do away with the LISTS, and do REQUEST by the PUBLIC and VENUES. So we'll be able to go to any venue, bar, grill, lodges, festivals, and maybe classic car shows. So if you want a band that will play all favorites from most generations. Then here we are! Because we're for "YOU" the people. So send us your "SONG REQUEST" and we'll do our best to play or learn it for the next time you come to see us because want to see you smile, dance and have "GRAND" time. This band will be different "HOW" you say... If somebody wants to sing or play and we know the song. We'll let get you up to perform.
