The project expanded into an entertainment, production, web design, photographic, and clothing line company. Maxx Effex was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica. He is s seasoned musician who’s also an actor and comedian. At the age of 14 he started a music career that led him around the world touring with musicians Ziggy Marley, Yellow Man, Eka Mouse, and Culture. He settled for a while in California, with his own band “Mellow Maxx and the Melody posse”. They were named most popular band of the year by Good Times Magazine. After moving to Hawaii, Maxx became an original member of the band “Hot Rain”, and they won three battle of the bands competitions. Maxx was one of the “All Star” characters on the Island 98.5 morning show with Lanai and Augie for a few years. This gave him opportunities to perform with some of Hawaii’s most famous reggae bands: B.E.T., Natural Vibrations, FIJI, and many more. Maxx is featured on several other Hawaiian artist’s CD recordings and music videos. In addition, he is a cast member in Augie T.’s “The Augie Show” seasons one and two, and he can be seen weekly performing with his band “Maxx Effex and the Reggaelaters” and the Buckz Boyz on the TV show “Star Tracks” on OC 16. His most recent television performance was on “Night Time with Andy Bumatai”, where he and Anjj Lee performed the song “Only You Alone” from their new CD with their band and fabulous dancers. Maxx’s energetic style and rhythm, along with his positive vibe captivates any audience. Anjj Lee was born in Montreal, Canada, to a Korean mother and German father. She was raised from age three on the beautiful island of Oahu. She began her music career when her grandmother taught her how to play contemporary Hawaiian songs with the ukulele. In July 2007, Anjj toured Europe playing music as a soloist in venues across Germany, France, and Italy. Her German song “Schatze Baby” was played on German airwaves with a live interview done at Radio Euskirchen. She had performance reviews and write-ups in four major German newspapers. This year in the U.S., Anjj has had six television appearances. Twice on “Night Time with Andy Bumatai”, a live performance on “Tiny TV”, she was part of a television streamed webcast to Tokyo, she was a highlighted soloist on a new music show on OC16 produced by TRX TV, and she performed live on KHON’s morning show. Anjj Lee is a versatile artist, performer, actress, singer-songwriter, and guitarist. She can play and sing music that crosses generations and genres. Her own style leans towards folk/alternative/country, but she mixes many styles together. She has recorded two CD’s independently, and she is currently finalizing a professional Hip Hop Dancehall Reggae CD with Maxx Effex. Here she demonstrates another facet of her amazing versatility as a singer.
