Mega aka DaeShaan McAllister was born November 5th, 1983 in Wilmington, Delaware. Prior to rapping he wrote poetry and short stories based on realities he saw and experienced around him. At age 14 he got serious about his craft and passion (music), purchased a microphone, two turntables, and a tape deck and started making tapes to be sold at school. After finishing high school at St. Mark’s also in Wilmington and attending Neumann College for a semester, Mega’s own imprint 1st Chapter Records was signed with a P & D (Promotion & Distribution) deal to Universal Records thru Bungalo Records owned by Paul Ring. Mega relocated to Woodland Hills, CA and recorded tons of new material for the highly anticipated “Bless The Child” which never saw the light of day. After shady business dealings from Bungalo Records Mega returned to the east coast to go on two major college tours, on which one gave him the privilege of touring with The Young Bloodz, Messy Marv, David Banner, Billy Cook, and others. It also gave him the chance to define himself as the next best thing amongst industry peers. He Then took a break from the industry and went back to school for audio engineering at Omega Studios school in Rockville, MD. After completing the two year program, He performed in several DC nightclubs along side Vice-Versa (RIP) and Butter Raw gearing himself up to jump first back into the industry. My Music Is of The Struggle: My only goals in Music R 2 Save Souls, Heal Hearts, & Mend Minds. God Gave Me A Gift So now I rewrap it and send it out 2 the world. After moving back to California living in Hollywood, meeting and gaining advice from the likes of super producer Johnny J (2pac, Outlawz) Mega returned to his beloved TRI-STATE and is gearing up for the release his newest body of work “Compassion Sold Separately”.
