At the age of 14, she begin formal training at the Delian Music School, and later at the Halel School of music, both locations in Inglewood. Melissa grew up with a passion for music, from Neil Young to Nina Simone to Joni Mitchell to Stevie Wonder to Prince to Raphael Saddiq, her influences stem from all types of genres. She is currently at Berklee, majoring in Music Education, however er true passion is to become an influential singer, who puts the world on it's ear, not just by her deep, soulful, and sultry singing, but by her lyrics that she hopes will inspire, and make people think for themselves, as well as, outside the box.
