My son David and I have spent about 18 months writing and recording this compilation of 18 songs in our home studio. My son David and I have spent about 18 months writing and recording this compilation of 18 songs in our home studio. We live about fifty miles northwest of New York City, where I commute to my job five days a week. As a band we call ourselves MeloDrama and our album is titled "Invisible Curtain". My influences are many but I'll narrow them down to The Beatles, Bowie, E.L.O. and new wave music of the 80's. David shares my influences but currently he listens to Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Grizzly Bear and Opeth. I also dig these bands so I guess together we sound like an alternative British invasion. We were so engulfed in the production of "Invisible Curtain" that only upon completion is when we realized the many challenges ahead of us. We are busy in submitting our songs for review and distribution, occasionally performing at open mics, coding our website (not a strong point but continues to improve) and we continue to write and record new songs. Although sometimes it feels like we are yelling from a cliff down into the valley below, "Can anybody hear us?” it is still a great experience. It’s very similar to starting a business considering that an idea is prototyped, manufactured and promoted. With that in mind, we understand the importance of patience and perseverance.
