In the spring of 2010 a fortunate sequence of events took place. A run-of-the-mill party in New Brunswick turned out to be the meeting place for three weary musicians. Shortly after the downfall of a decade and a storm that ended many years earlier, vocalist Tyler Caton and drummer Gaurav Jain were exhausted from musical turmoil and had few hopes for the future. In the spring of 2010 a fortunate sequence of events took place. A run-of-the-mill party in New Brunswick turned out to be the meeting place for three weary musicians. Shortly after the downfall of a decade and a storm that ended many years earlier, vocalist Tyler Caton and drummer Gaurav Jain were exhausted from musical turmoil and had few hopes for the future. Having all been but retired, guitarist Dave Marder came onto the scene and was surprised by what he believed to be the best musical opportunity he had come across in years. After initial discussions, Dave convinced Tyler and Gaurav to try out some tunes. The air was filled with creative zeal as the musicians began to compose their first riffs, and before long it was clear a band was in the making. After a few months of musical development the trio realized it was time to share the music with an audience. Shortly thereafter they gave themselves a name. Metropolis. The three had one fervent desire that fueled every note – bring the people what they want: Rock n’ Roll.
