M.G.G (Money Green Gang) is a hiphop group based in Howell, N.J. Consisting of three emcees (Melvin, Skeet, Invy) who have different flows, styles, abilities, and unique voices that all come together to create a fresh style of hiphop music. Whether the song is a grimey record over east coast style drums, or a party/club record with a southern feel to it M.G.G can do it all. With all three members already writing and recording music from time to time by themselves or with other emcees from the area they soon got together for a few recording sessions at Invy's home studio in early 2006. What was just having fun a couple days a month recording and putting out verses over industry instrumentals slowly started to turn into something more special over the next two years. M.G.G knew they had talent and knew they could write songs that people could enjoy but recording in a bedroom with only their friends to listen wasn't going to get them very far. The next step was to do a live show. In March of 2008 M.G.G finally held their first show at the "Players Lounge" in Sayreville, NJ and received a great crowd response. Soon after they performed at a couple different showcases in Northern New Jersey they eventually held their second show in December of 2008 at Chubbys in Red Bank, NJ. Later on in early 2009 they performed at the famous "Stone Pony" in Asbury Park NJ and things were looking up for the group. That was soon no more. With no new shows or showcases for the next year M.G.G kept writing and recording new songs, working nine to fives, and doing what they could to support themselves. Determined to create a future in the music industry M.G.G got their next big break and was given the opportunity to showcase their talents at the "Bamboozle Festival" at the Meadowlands in NJ. On the same bill as other famous and up and coming artists (Mike Posner, Jared Evan, Tanya Morgan, Wiz Khalifa, Sean Price, & Wale) this was the chance of a lifetime. It was a chance that would not be wasted as they took stage in front of a few thousand fans waiting to see a show and impressed them all. Upon the success of Bamboozle M.G.G has been granted another opportunity to grace the stage by opening for Collie Buddz, Cypress Hill, & Slightly Stoopid at the Stone Pony Summer Stage this July. They have also been selected for an industry showcase this August in Philadelphia. What once was just three emcees having fun recording in a home studio has become the start of something much more. $Money Green Gang$
