Yet the inevitable has become manifest. Mi-Fliss born Michael Akhimie a seasoned rap artiste has been stacking up global accolades lately. Coming up second place as the BEST MYSPACE ARTISTE in the just concluded MYSPACE VIRTUAL MUSIC AWARDS 2008 nominated alongside super star acts such as Souljah Boy and Leona Lewis with a 37% vote cast worldwide is no small feat considering the competition. Talent wise he is unquestionably without doubt exceptional. Mi-Fliss was recently selected by special request on two (2) Compilations to be released in the United States of America. Firstly, the blast master himself, Kris “K.R.S.-ONE” Parker the Legendary African American Hip Hop icon, to feature in the Temple of Hip Hop Presents: Stop The Violence Movement International Undaground Compilation Album vol.1 this year, after listening to his track titled “I AM HIP HOP” KRS-1 stated that Mi-Fliss track is the therapeutic dose the Hip Hop capital needs. And secondly, the Production giant Beat Cartel on their Compilation Beat Cartel Presents: Destination Hip Hop which was released as a free download on the internet on October 27th, 2009,garnered 2,000 + downloads in bearly 2 weeks.The compilation Includes Guests Mcs such as heavy weight Rapper Billy Danzinni ,One Half Of the duo M.O.P., Icadon from Red Man’s Gilla House records to mention a few. Back home in Nigeria he is gearing up for the release of his debut album titled ‘Banana Theory’ under His Runz Entertainment imprint. Banana Theory is a mash up serving of pure creativity which features the rave hit singles ‘Skiboropopo’ which features top Nigerian Hip Hop artiste Lord Of Ajasa and the street grind anthem single ‘E Ti Po To(Y’all Ain’t Enough)’ featuring Jah Bless which has been receiving heavy rotation on radio and features on charts, earning an appreciable following nationwide. The album boasts of other outstanding tracks such as ‘Lau Lau’ (a club frenzy track), ‘Underwear’ (a flirtatious revelation of a sensuous experience). Also includes international collaborative tracks with Hip Hop acts in the United States such as, ‘Lost Vegas’ featuring Lucy Diamonds, which presents both rappers analyzing the path of Hip Hop from two world perspectives, ‘Bounce’ featuring Krooked, a Gangster lifestyle tale of two renowned west coasts, Los Angeles and Lagos.
