Born Michael Darcel Johnson, on October 27,1985 in Racine WI, Mike Beezy grew up on the south side streets in the run down neighborhoods near Mead and Racine streets. In 2001, forced into the street life by poverty, Mike began to find alternative methods of making money and his education began to suffer. When his mother became aware of these indiscretions she decided to execute tough love and send him to Florida to get his life together at his aunt’s house. Arriving in Florida, Mike decided that he might as well make the best of the experience and try to remain focused on the positive. He met some people short after enrolling in school that he really connected with. These new found friends became his introduction to coming into his own. Challenged to freestyle at a friendly gathering made him realize what his calling really was. Mike began to take a real interest in Rapping and began to write his own lyrics and his friends showed him to make his own beats. The pieces to the puzzle in his young life, finally started coming together. In 2006, Mike Beezy released, And Then There Was Beezy, his first album after coming back to his home in Wisconsin. Not having received enough recognition off of this first album, he didn’t give up and decided to get back in the booth to concoct something that was undeniably going to be his best yet. He established a Myspace page that began to get him that much needed attention and made the top artist in less than six months. On March 2, 2009 the much anticipated second album, The First Chapter, finally dropped with the single, Bout Money that went skyrocketing on the Myspace charts with over 17 thousand plays. Mike is eagerly awaiting to get the opportunity all struggling artists dream of, being discovered. With the help of his manager Termayne Green, he is trying to get closer to that dream. Currently he still resides in his home town of Racine Wi, with his wife Kendra and their beautiful daughter Adriana.
