Mixed Reality is an alternative rock band based out of Whitby. Formed in early 2008, Daniel Le Forestier (lead vocals/ guitar), Eric Mielke (Drums), Andrew Sproule (Bass), and Brandon Sproule (guitar) have made a name for themselves in the local music scene. Mixed Reality has quite a bit of experience playing gigs around Durham, as well as in Vaughan and other cities in the GTA. They have played at various venues such as Johnny B’s Club, Chicago’s Diner, The Groove Lounge, and at different events such as fundraisers and Battle of the Bands competitions. This alternative rock group released their first demo, Rewind, on November 30, 2008. The demo consists of five original songs; Highway, Only Way, Rewind, Feelings for You, and Barely Remember. Mixed Reality is currently working on a new album, which is expected to be released by the summer of 2010. Mixed Reality’s influences range from the Beatles, to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and everywhere in between, making their sound that they have developed truly unique.
