August 2007 ....A memorable year for all the members of Baltimore's own Money Long Click.The journey began for these three young men years ago, believeing in one another's talent and skill and still showing extreme promise for the future projects and growth. All having the same dream of making a diffrence in the music industry, none of them never knew that thier voice would cause a ripple effect in the Baltimore music scene. The diversity of the group is one of its key attributes. Wheather it be singing, dancing, rapping, MLC continues to grow. Starting of with the founder of the group Deyonta Thompson(Wezz). Born in washington DC, but raised in Baltimore, the expectations were high for Wezz. Always performing where ever a audience was gathered, he made a huge name for himself as the entertainer of the group. Inspired by greats such as Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, he started to stray more away from dancing as his main form of self-expression and leaned more towards writing music. Which bring us to the next member, the preident of Money Long Click fan club, Tyrone Smith (TyBaby). The self-Proclaimed playboy of the group,raised with his younger brother Wezz. Tybaby was always known for his distinctive punch lines and narrative rap style. Jerrod Harris (Rod-G), cuzzins of Tybaby & Wezz, was one of the group biggest supports. Being a city-wide known athlete, Rod-G brought his sport mentality to MLC by creating a more "artist friendly" environment by establishing more loyalty among the group, enhancing attributes that would help boost their fan base as well as being the glue that holds the group together. MLC is more than just a hip-hop group, MLC is a movement that is more than just a staple in the music industry, but a change in the way we all will view music as a whole. More than just a song or a tune, but a experience. After overcomming adversity, private stuggles and battling Baltimore County police harassment and struggling to find themselves... MLC will go down in Baltimore's Hip-Hop records.
