Biography

At the early age of 6, Max began playing his grandmother's piano. He has been hooked on music ever since. When he was 10, his parents bought him a marching drum which he later played in the Jr. High School marching band. Max soon found out that the marching band was really not his thing, and consequently started playing his solo drum to rock n' roll records. When he was 10, his parents bought him a marching drum which he later played in the Jr. High School marching band. Max soon found out that the marching band was really not his thing, and consequently started playing his solo drum to rock n' roll records. Max would set up this one drum on his parent's living room couch and play along to bands like Cream, Sly and the Family Stone, Grand Funk, Ike and Tina Turner, CCR just to name a few. In his teens, Max Soelzer began high school and began playing drums in various bands. The earliest band was named Moon Queen. While attending Jr. College, he played drums and sung with a band that actually changed names on numerous occasions, but was most referred to as Mr. Sting. They played many fraternity parties throughout the South. Max began playing drums in a band named Cypress in which Max became the lead singer and front man for the band. The band Cypress once opened for Capricorn recording artist Grinderswitch. In working with such varied talent of these band musicians is where Max learned to play guitar as well as other instruments such as harmonica and piano. Max eventually renewed his relationship with Jesus Christ. He continues to be involved in music ministry. Max has performed and ministered throughout the panhandle of Florida, including New York. The year 1999 "Music with Max" was formed. In 2001, Max recorded his first EP, " Into the Light" which receives radio airplay. In 2002, Max performs onstage at the Springfest music festival in Pensacola, Florida. In 2011, Max records his first Album / CD Soul Searchin'. The album Soul Searchin' has recently received radio airplay on Radio A1A from the Florida Keys as well. In 2014 The Runaway Train Single is released Max Soelzer has charted number 1 on the Singer / Songwriter charts on Reverbnation in Northwest, Florida. He has gained press attention and most recently been featured in Mutual of Omaha's Aha Moments Campaign as part of their " Aha Moments Tour 2013." In 2014 Max Soelzer is featured on the Radio A1A radio station every Sunday morning at 9am, Florida Keys time. Broadcasted live from the Florida Keys! Max continues to entertain, record and write music. He continues to tour and play shows throughout the Gulf Coast and South Alabama.
