Ms. Smith’s life story is told through her music. “Through out my life when it comes to men, and the music business, I felt like I’ve been handed lemons. So to make the best out of a bad situation, I just added a little sugar and made LEMONADE,” quotes Ms. Smith. Lemonade is an urban girl’s anthem that narrates the all too familiar story of good girls with a fetish for bad boys. The cool swagger of the street wise thug, seems to melt any girl’s heart, but in the end ladies have to face the harsh reality that no matter how much love you have for thug lyfe, every woman eventually needs a Gentleman (the 1st single off the album). Caught Up, which appeals to both male and female, sets the scene for each track that follows, like Stick-Up and Whoop T Whoop. This album is story telling at its finest. Over sultry beats with horns and acoustic guitars, Ms. Smith tells her story of living, loving, and learning. Females and males alike will be able to relate to this album. “Lemonade” can make you dance, will make you think, and no doubt shall make you listen. About the Artists: Ms. Smith is not your average female rapper, but a cut above the rest. Ms. Smith is doing away with simply settling for being the “Baddest Bi***” and reaching back to the days of Queen Latifah‘s message in the song U.N.I.T.Y which speaks out against men referring to women as a Bi*** or H**.
