Yendy Brown, aka Ms. Yendy, started singing and performing at the age of 9. Daughter of a musician father, Yendy often found herself singing along to old records in the basement and tagging along with Dad to rehearsals. Yendy Brown, aka Ms. Yendy, started singing and performing at the age of 9. Daughter of a musician father, Yendy often found herself singing along to old records in the basement and tagging along with Dad to rehearsals. After realizing the transformation of her vocal ability, Yendy later auditioned for the youth choir at her church. She later joined both her elementary school and high school choirs as well as performed in school productions and plays. From her love of performing she began her journey developing her singing and songwriting talents, performing with local bands and working tirelessly in the studio. She became the lead vocalist for R&B group Fade to Black which released a single entitled, “You”. Her most cherished time in her career as a performer was being on tour and singing background with late R&B star, Aaliyah. She has also worked with Deborah Cox, Brandy and famed music producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. Yendy is also the former vocalist for DC based Go-Go group Mambo Sauce and co-writer of their hit song “Miracles” and whose song “Welcome to DC” charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and video appeared on VH1, BET and MTV. Ms.Yendy is currently starring in the stage play "A Change Is Coming", Winner - 2008 Velocity Magazine Award, "Best Film/Stage Play" as well as working on her debut album, "MY TIME" to be released mid-late 2009. Ms. Yendy is currently a member of Go Go band OP Tribe. In her own words, "I just want to do what I love and that's sing and perform. It’s MY TIME".
