MOV formed in Surabaya, Indonesia on July 2007. Their initial motivation to make alternative music in MOV is just for pleasure and hobby.
Just like most of teenager who are still searching for their identity, MOV also experienced many transitional period where the band was trying to find a distinctive musical character by playing a variety of genres, like alternative rock, punk, progressive rock, christian rock, but all the genre ends on a red thread called: ROCK music. For now MOV become more solid with only 4 personnel, they are: Ciz (vocal), Bima (Bass), John (Guitar), and Nathan (Drums).
Rock Music and MOV looks like can't be separated, we can see it from the influences and favorite musicians of each personnel. Ciz like bands with a modern alternative rock genres such as My Chemical Romance, Muse, & Boys Like Girls. On the other side, John like to listen music with feel of a vintage guitar like Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, Joe Satriani, and Slash. Bima is crazy in love with Queen and Gun's n Roses, and Nathan’s beat drums was very influenced by Tre Cool (Green Day) and Travis Barker (Blink 182).
