For nine years, this hot thick artist has been paving her way through the music industry. Véronique was born in Bassett, Virginia, a small town made up of merely industrial jobs. She started rapping at the age of 16 and performing for school talent shows. She gave birth to her first child at the age of 17 and still managed to graduate from Bassett High School while working at night. She later went on to college to pursue a degree in Business Administration while still in hopes to pursue her music career. In October 2003, Véronique began working with DJ Rickey Manns recording music in the basement of his home. In May 2005, she entered a contest with Soul Sound Entertainment, LLC. She won 2nd place by freestyling to Biggie’s “Big Poppa” Instrumental. She signed a one-year contract and began recording immediately. For a while, Véronique wrote songs that gave her a hardcore persona, until May 2006 during her last month with Soul Sound when she recorded her hit song “Guardian Angel” with her friend and former Vice President, Jae Mitchell. “Once I heard that beat, I knew it was meant for me, to tell a story”, and that she did. She is known to the studio as the 15 minute hit song writer as she listened to the beat in the studio and wrote the song within that time-frame.
