NAS-T NAS-T is comprised of four incredibly talented men from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Their astounding blend of voices gives NAS-T a powerful harmony: "Tim" Edwards provides stirring classic influence: "Buck" McAfee offers an inspiring gospel sound: "Shaun" Higgins adds a hip/hop flavor and "Rob" Robinson, contributes heart stopping balladeer. NAS-T doesn't consider itself a group of "just four guys". They believe anyone supporting their music from the fans, to the CEO is an essential part of NAS-T. Singing and performing has always been and continues to be a passion for each member of NAS-T. All of their parents recognized their son’s talent early and by the ages of five to seven they were singing in their own church choir. They came together to create NAS-T ten years ago in Pine Bluff, Arkansas when Shaun and Rob's R&B group split at the same time as Tim and Buck's R&B band broke up. Shaun and Buck were friends and Rob and Tim were friends outside of their groups and therefore knew each other's talent and that is how NAS-T was created. These four charismatic balladeers, now living in Houston, Texas come from a variety of musical backgrounds and experiences. The group's gospel and R&B upbringing strongly influenced their self-titled "Gumbo Soul" sound. Their diverse style allows the group to mesmerize audiences with ballads that are both hip and soulful. This mature, sexy group would like to revive real grown folk music back to the game. As the opening act for a number of major entertainers such as Brandy, the late Gerald Levert and touring with such community events as the Coca Cola "Share the Dream Tour, the group has demonstrated their star potential. In 1997, NAS-T was signed to Little Rock; Arkansas based Bolden One Records and released a single that did very well that year. A warm reception by the entertainment media and a growing southern fan base convinced NAS-T to release their next CD independently. NAS-T sold out an international tour and was selected from many thousands of aspiring performers to appear on "The Jenny Jones National Talent Search" when her show aired. NAS-T's remarkable amount of talent was confirmed early on when they won first place in a State Talent Contest after only two weeks of practicing together. Many more talent shows were won before singing with Bolden One. The local label relocated them from Arkansas to Atlanta and again to Houston where they began working on their album. From there they recorded "Ladies and Players Nite Out: and shot a video for their song when it hit the local charts. In addition they sold over five thousand singles and built a strong fan base in the South, while their CD was about to be released and the video was receiving a tremendous amount of airtime on BET. In addition to vocal talent they also play a variety of instruments, compose, choreograph and produce for themselves and have often been asked to do the same for others. NAS-T has been through ups and downs in the past ten years both professionally and personally. After hearing several requests for many years, NAS-T has decided to release their CD on their own label, NAS-T House Records in Dec 2007.With a sound that is fresh and new.
