Hey, I’m Janelle, Nelly or Nel for short. My middle name is Irene, which means peace, something I believe everyone should seek, in their our lives and with others. I started this project as a fun way to express myself. Most of the songs are original, while others are remixed versions of songs I enjoy. Hey, I’m Janelle, Nelly or Nel for short. My middle name is Irene, which means peace, something I believe everyone should seek, in their our lives and with others. I started this project as a fun way to express myself. Most of the songs are original, while others are remixed versions of songs I enjoy. I'm not super experienced with recording and mixing, I just used Garageband on my Macbook Pro laptop with a MIDI-keyboard that plugs into the computer. So hope you enjoy what you hear =P Here's a little more about me... I definitely don’t have my whole life figured out, but I do have certain priorities and things that take up a lot of my time. If you know anything about me, you’ll know that I care about my family and friends more than anything and wouldn’t try to hurt them in any way. I have an enormous passion for music and I'm into many various genres. Lyrics (not just a good beat and sweet guitar riffs) are a large part of what makes up a good song in my mind. You'll often find me posting songs or music videos that have lyrics I feel I can relate to or songs that have played a significant role in my life. I love writing, poetry or just plain putting my thoughts down on paper. It helps me re-evaluate my life every so often and hopefully encourages others in the process. I also have opinions about a lot of things, but I love to listen to what others have to say and will respect you even though I may not agree. Hearing about what people have been through and where they’ve come from is something I’ve always found interesting because it helps you really understand who they are as a person. Not only that, but I believe it’s better to learn from others mistakes instead of making them all myself. Many people think "seeing is believing," but it didn't take physical proof for me to realize that I'm lost in this world without the One who died so that I could live. I try my best not to be hypocritical, but I'm human and nobody's perfect. Waking up every morning knowing that I'm saved by grace is what helps me get through tough times. Because ultimately, He's the only one who will unconditionally love you no matter what you do. So this is only a tiny bit of who I am and what I'm about.
