it all started back in 2004...i had just graduated high school, and a friend of mine had just got this cheap ass beat machine. it wasn't long before i became obsessed with it. i soon saved up enough money for an akai mpc 1000 (a more expensive beat machine) & began making beats. i then started writing lyrics for the first time. i also began experimenting with mash-ups (mixing rap & rock songs together) & got pretty good at it--becoming a regular on Sirius Satellite Radio. but, aft...

it all started back in 2004...i had just graduated high school, and a friend of mine had just got this cheap ass beat machine. it wasn't long before i became obsessed with it. i soon saved up enough money for an akai mpc 1000 (a more expensive beat machine) & began making beats. i then started writing lyrics for the first time. i also began experimenting with mash-ups (mixing rap & rock songs together) & got pretty good at it--becoming a regular on Sirius Satellite Radio. but, after a while the remixes got boring, & i went back to working on my own music. after a couple years of working with the beat machine, i saved up & bought a korg triton keyboard. but, once again i got sidetracked from writing my own music with something else--beat battling. i started entering beat battle competitions for money & became a regular on the scene. i eventually got bored with that too, and it was back to trying to write music. inspired by artists like the roots & gym class heroes, i realized i wanted to actually play instruments in my music instead of just making beats. so, in the spring of '08 i picked up a guitar & haven't looked back since. & that's where i'm at today! i guess i fall somewhere in between hip hop & rock...hope you enjoy!
