At the age of 16 I began producing music with Ian (Indecent) Dawson and we established Indo Productions. We all parted ways with no love lost, our 15-20 member group {THA OUTTA CONTROL SOULJAZ} was no more. I dropped out of school and had a child before graduating and I went to prison for two years. I lost contact with all members and all of my music.So 10 years later after all tha preying an talkin to GOD.He told me im too talented not to be making good music professionally for the peoples entertainment so I got back into tha game an im tired of watching MTV and BET without seeing Bay Area music, Im tired of listening to the radio without hearing Bay Area music. Not saying that Keek da Sneak, San Quinn, E-40 and The Federation are not getting major airplay but there is more music out there. I sometimes may seem arrogant and cocky but please do not take it personal its only promotion. I listen to all music. I love music. I plan to create music the way people want to hear it, which is why I created Trunkmuzik Entertainment its self explanatory. {most people listen too music in there car}As a producer I spend days,weeks months in a chair in front of a keyboard pluckin an banging and running back an forward too my car to see if its slappin. Once I create a melody I feel you can bob your head too. I EQ it I add effects, reverbs, delays, an compressions then its off to Pro Tools we go All my years in school English was my best subject so as a writer it takes me two hours to write three versus song hook and bridge. I don't think that there is one rapper who is better than another lyrically,its all about how you sell yourself too your fans just as you would an employer at a job interview. My word play is vicious I don't have a bunch of run on sentences that end with words that rhyme you can understand every word that I say without having and listen to the song years later just to realize what I said. I plan to keep making what I feel is mainstream Bay Area music with or without a major deal, so please keep supporting Tricky aka nicthaquik.
