Shane, born June 21 of '82, is the guitarist and main vocalist; and Russell, born August 22 of '87, is the bassist and backup vocalist. In February of 2007, Sean Hedrick, born March 6 of '86, teamed up with NMF as their new drummer while he was interning and taking classes at Dallas Sound Labs. Here, NMF recorded and experimented in a professional atmosphere, learning and progressing. The band also began playing regular shows in the Dallas area around this time as well which led to NMF's release of a live CD and DVD of a performance at 'Curtain Club' in Dallas, TX. Sean later teamed up with Gene Coleman, live sound engineer of 'Liquid Lounge' in Dallas, TX., to create Pinnacle Studios. Here NMF filmed their song entitled "The System" and later released it as their first music video single on DVD.
Nine Month Fall's long-term mission is to help bring back the long forgotten dynamic of music, and to remind the world that it's the art that should be the focal point, not so much the people who created it. We are just one band, but there are many like us. We firmly believe that music can be so much more than a background process. TV and radio, in all of its glory, has helped dumb down music to the point that no one takes it seriously anymore. It is time to accept the fact that modern music bears the poets of our generation, and yet it seems that the many networks overlook them for more time efficient and conventional forms of music. Together, we can escape the simple, predictable and colorless grip of mainstream music, and draw focus on the endless possibilities of unrestricted creativity, a place where being different is a commendable quality, and where coloring outside of the lines is always encouraged.
