Obliquity Inc. was formed in the late years of High School, in the minds of guitarists Dean and Sean. They had one idea in mind, to create some of the catchiest heavy and melodic sounds in the UK metal scene. Rhys Mitchell, ex-drummer of 'Triphazard' and close friend since High School shared the dream and joined forces with the band. Soon after the auditions began and after seeing many faces come and go in the steps to finding a vocalist, they had finally made their decision... old High School friend Andy Dawe took the helm as lead vocalist and front man, whilst former 'Anartifact' bass player, Lewis Smith, completed the bands much needed low end. Since then, Obliquity Inc. have wrote many songs, completed their debut Demo/EP 'Transfusion', and achieved great things, such as playing the Carling Academy Loft and making it to the Emergenza North West finals. However, unfortunately following a short hiatus in late 2007, Rhys announced his departure from the band, and had been helping the band find a worthy replacement. After 11 months they found their man in the form of a local metal drummer, Sean Orr and are now playing local shows and preparing to record the long awaited follow up to 'Transfusion'.
