My name is Oji Elliott. I grew up in Hunters Point of San Francisco,Ca. My mom raised me and my sister by herself. By the time I was 16 I was producing beats and songs on my 4-track for the neighborhood rappers. I would also create artwork for inspiration and to keep me busy and out of trouble. My name is Oji Elliott. I grew up in Hunters Point of San Francisco,Ca. My mom raised me and my sister by herself. By the time I was 16 I was producing beats and songs on my 4-track for the neighborhood rappers. I would also create artwork for inspiration and to keep me busy and out of trouble. I won a competition to get artist and residence at the hunters point shipyard artist colony. Overtime I got better creating music and art so then I pursued a career. The colleges I attended were Academy of Art and Expressions College. I was too interested in my own projects to focus on their homework, plus it seemed like they couldn't teach me what I already new. I recorded on different equipment from 4-tracks,digital recorders to Pro Tools. I use any instrument I can get my hands on, mainly keyboard and guitar. I also love to find old obscure samples, mostly old library music, to work with. I have performed and done art shows and got good response. I produce my wifes songs also. Her name is Estrella. Most recently we have had a daughter named Ma'at who is now two and a son named "Ba" who is six months. I am looking forward to seeing where I fit in in the music and industry. I hope to find a fan base and tour across the world. The topics and emotions I entertain has to do with self improvement, enlightenment, and the occult. The artist who inspire me are Tricky, Danger Mouse, Zap Mama, Erykah Badu, Andre 3000, Cee Lo Green, E-40, First Degree the D.E., Rza, Saul Williams,etc. I produce, write, record and engineer all of my music at home and also have experience producing and writing for other artist, so I know I could be put to good use.
