Orion

Orion was formed in an Orange County garage in 2008 by Geoff Prather (Lead Vocals/Guitar) and Kristopher Riggs (Drums), during a jam session among friends. Geoff and Kris had never met before that day, but all it took was 20 minutes of playing together to decided that what just happened needed to be recorded and shown to as many people as possible. From that day, Orion's goal has been to perform in front of large audiences and demonstrate the high level of energy they bring to the stage....

Orion was formed in an Orange County garage in 2008 by Geoff Prather (Lead Vocals/Guitar) and Kristopher Riggs (Drums), during a jam session among friends. Geoff and Kris had never met before that day, but all it took was 20 minutes of playing together to decided that what just happened needed to be recorded and shown to as many people as possible. From that day, Orion's goal has been to perform in front of large audiences and demonstrate the high level of energy they bring to the stage. Orion was later completed by Jon Scarpa (Lead Guitar/Keyboard) and Matt Jordan (Bass/Vocals), both adding the final pieces that were needed to take the band to the next level.All songs are now a joint creation within the band, each member adding their own sound, style and influences to the creative process. Orion's first record was released on iTunes in 2010 titled "Things to Come" and their EP "Silhouettes" is now available on iTunes and other online retailers. To date, Orion have played shows in Hollywood, Santa Monica and all around their home, Orange County.
