Her arrival onto the music scene began in 1997, fronting the band Laktic Acid which toured The Mid-Atlantic, achieving success charting on the national college radio circuit as well as commercial rotation on WHFS and 98ROCK in promotion of the band’s two CD’s, Fishfood Heaven and The Unconquered. Orna’s experience as a studio musician, live performer and songwriter lead to vocal appearances in 2004-2005 on various recordings from genres ranging from electronic to post-industrial to modern rock. Currently, Orna has started her own indie rock project, ORNAmuseMENT, which is devoted to her solo material. Her discography thus far boasts 2005’s EP Lachrymose-a tentative yet intriguing introduction to an artist finding her own voice (stand-out track, “Out of the Woods”), 2006’s EP Demolicious-a teasingly confident follow-up response to the first release (stand-out track, “Tree of Woe”) and 2008’s LP Chasing the Muse-an immersion into remorse, outrage, longing, anger and love, which reveals itself with repeated listens (stand-out track, “Running on Empty”).
