In the Spring of 2002 Francesco Liuzzi (vocalist) and Rocco Cortesi (guitar) gave rise to a new music group which would soon include Marco Mambriani (guitar), Simone Pilato (base), Matteo Taglioli (drums) and DJ Ikee. The Redrum, as the group would be called, created a repertoire based on themes by Incubus and Hoobastank, which soon evolved into their own sound featuring American style guitars, spontaneous lyrics and nu-metal type rythms, marginally enriched with scratches and samplings. In 2003 following their success at the national Coopformusic festival, the Redrum went live and performed in shows next to Planet Funk, Nicolò Fabi and Omar Pedrini, then followed up with their first single which was featured as insert in the 17,000 copies of the November 2003 edition of Rock Star magazine. Following a disastrous recording experience in 2004, the Redrum got back into the recording studio fully aware that they had to further evolve and improve their own personal sound. At that time they met up with DJ Seth (who would soon replace DJ Ikee) thanks to whom the group’s groove was considerably enriched with synth and electronic underlays. Boosted by live appearances with bands of the calibre of Apres la Classe, Punkreas and Mel Previte (guitarist with Ligabue), the Redrum began to produce new compositions which eventually lead them, in 2008, to change their name to Panic Room, to start their co-operation with the management agency Alkemist Fanatix and finally to the signing of their first recording contract with the British recording studios UKDIVISION RECORDS, under whose label their first album entitled EQUILIBRIUM will be issued at the beginning of 2009. The Album has been recorded at West Link Recording Studio (Raw Power, Prozac+, Shandon, Forty Winks ecc) of Pisa and mastered at the Marcussen Mastering Studio (Korn, Incubus, Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, ecc) L.A. California.
