Armed with powerful innovative riffs, dizzying rhythmic aura, melodic breakdowns and distinctive vocals, Patient Mile are all about redefining. Unofficially formed in mid 2006 as a 5-piece, Guitarist Andrew Meli, Drummer Troy Rose and Bassist Kevin Bala persisted as a 3-piece soon after the other 2 members left. The trio spent almost a year writing together without a vocalist. In Mid 2007 Troy stepped up to the boomstand when Andrews brother Matt, who was drumming with Syko Sapian at the time, offered to take over the drums. The lineup was now complete, and Patient Mile was born. Patient Mile played their first shows in competitions all around Sydney and their local Fairfield/Liverpol area with high regard and exposure, making the semis and grand finals in all comps. In their short time on the local scene, Patient Mile have played at venues like The Excelsior, The Vanguard and The Livehouse with some big names such as Ooh La La, Walking Zero, Memorial Drive, Vonsonic, Audio Vixen and Hail Discordia.. They have also played many youth festivals around the local precinct. As a band, their mutual influences include Incubus, Tool, The Butterfly Effect Karnivool, Cog, Dead Letter Circus and 10 Years, while each member brings their own cultural influence and experience to the palette.. The band experiments with a fusion of foreign and unconventional instruments and styles, which helps create their unique, and shall we say "Patient" style of alternative rock. 2009 sees Patient Mile back into full swing! Armed with the Paradiddles of Corrie now taking over on drums, the band hope to write, refine, and ultimately redefine their music! Look out for a Patient Mile Debut EP sometime this year!!
