Paul Inman's Delivery is the musical creation of a man named Paul Inman, a singer/songwriter from Detroit who now resides in Los Angeles. The band includes Robert Dill on drums and a rotating cast of characters: Devitt Feeley, Jeff LeGore, Laurie LeGore and Brett Jensen. They have performed throughout Europe and North America, and have shared stages with the likes of Marc Olsen and Victoria Williams (Creek Dippers), Gram Rabbit, Lucinda Williams, and The Jayhawks. Inman's songs are roadmaps of the soul, a series of paintings that are sometimes culled from personal experience, other times from the triumphs and failures of others in an imperfect world. Like many great songwriters, Inman takes personal experience and universalizes it. The frontman is also a dynamic performer; seducing audiences with his wild-angel voice and guitar or piano. The music is a melting pot of old and new. On Inman's first album, Rattlesnake Heat (Mojave Moon Records), he eloquently melds acoustic instruments with chiming electric guitars and keyboards. The ghost of Woody Guthrie meets up with Van Morrison and the Psychedelic Furs, and they all end up somehow in early 21st Century America. After Rattlesnake Heat, Inman put his band together and released three more albums. Their latest album, Songs of The Broken Earth (Mojave Moon Records) was just released in May 2010. This album is a true musical masterpiece, combining elements of some of the such vanguard artists as Bob Dylan, Marc Bolan and Muddy Waters and the poetry of Edgar Allan Poe. The album takes the listener on a musical journey through the streets of Los Angeles, the dusty back roads of America and on to exotic places such as the Dominican Republic and Morocco. A definite must have for anyone who loves music, poetry and travel.
