Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, Plum grew up in a 150 year old house in a scarcely populated valley. Music, her dog, and her abundant imagination kept her entertained.At age 3, she started putting music together on the piano, and at age 7 she began recording samples with a toy parrot she was given for Xmas. Music, her dog, and her abundant imagination kept her entertained.At age 3, she started putting music together on the piano, and at age 7 she began recording samples with a toy parrot she was given for Xmas. She then moved to a small town set amongst rolling hills in the Scottish Borders.“I love sampling nature and real sounds. She has a degree in Communication, and an interest in different people and cultures. Plum likes the little things.Her brother describes her as “dark, mental and childish - but in the nicest possible way”.“My music often expresses the things I keep to myself, the parts of me that I hide from everyone, so it’s scary sometimes to open up and let people see what’s in there!”Inspired with happy memories of listening to records with her dad, next to the crackling log fire, her mum’s artistic flair, and unique musical influences from a collection of quirky friends, a creative brother and 3 years of travelling, Plum has developed a unique style of music combining heartfelt melodies, dark lyrics and a hint of childhood innocence.
