Created by a member of recently-dissolved Pop/Rock band The Girlfriend Season, Polaroid is an exploration into the deep world of Electronica, Pop, Hip-Hop, and other general head-bobbing affairs. As a self-produced and generally self-reliant act preparing to swim in the over-infested waters of Pop soloism, Colby Stanley seems to have the mindset to wade his way through it. "I see music as a whole bunch of stories, but we just don't have the time or the means to literally tell everyone our stories.I try to make sure that anyone who may listen might be able to take my story and feel it. Understand a little. If I can do that, I'll be just fine." Polaroid's driving beats and emotion-inducing hooks are big enough to take on your next road trip, but the heartfelt delivery of his sentiment is spot on, and could be something to pick you up when you're down as well. Polaroid's still untitled debut EP will be released in Summer 2011. Its first single, 'Hello, Hurricane', will be digitally released, and will be available for streaming soon.
