"3 1/2 stars"..."mini musical masterpieces" Worcester Telegram  “incredible songs with a Stones/Replacements live dynamic”   Portsmouth Herald                                                          “the perfect soundtrack to your after work drinking”   Boston Band Crush Preacher Roe are a scrappy rock band based in Ashland, MA. Formed in 2006 by singer/songwriter Mike Orr, the lineup gelled in early 2009 with Greg Olson (drums), John Donovan (bass) & Scott Ricciuti (guitar). The band self-released ‘Blood Root Remedy’ in November 2010 on their Maiden Voyage imprint and has garnered airplay from Calgary to Glasgow.   The record was recorded by Roger Lavallee & Jack Younger and mastered by Mike Quinn.   Their ‘Diner Booth E.P.’ followed in February of 2011. Preacher Roe has played over 75 shows from Portsmouth to Brooklyn alongside many of their favorite bands including The Wrens, The Incredible Casuals, Scarce, Wheat, Township & The Dirty Truckers.  They are a year and a half into a residency at the Dudley Chateau, Wayland’s charmingly crusty ice fishing lodge.   They’ve appeared live on WAAF’s Bay State Rocks and WCUW’s (Worcester) Weekly Shuffle. A new e.p. will be released in March 2012 and a cover of Scruffy the Cat’s ‘Life is Fun’ will appear on an upcoming Charlie Chesterman benefit tribute to be released in January2012. preacherroe@gmail.com
