A crucial part of an artist is the sound. This is where Pro-Young comes into position. As one-half of the production duo Deuce Kingz his penchant for hip hop dates way back to his childhood growing up under the influences of producing legends such as Dj Premier, Marley Marl, Pete Rock and Dr.Dre. Pro-Young’s sound can be depicted as having many faces, constantly changing to adapt to the different emotions that an artist can project on a beat. The beats he produces are continuously improving as he puts each and every effort of creating them in a process that is consistently evolving with time. Some of his major influences are The RZA, DJ Premier, Dr. Dre, The Bomb Squad, The Beat Minerz, and Alchemist just to name a few. You can expect to hear a sound that is totally original, but stylistically similar to some of today’s top producers such as Kanye West, Cool and Dre, and Just Blaze. Currently Pro-Young along with his partner T-Lethal have produced over 180 songs as the collective Deuce Kingz so he has experience in piecing and formatting a song together. Also they have a bio and interview on blurimag.com and also had an interview a while back with wwsmag.com.Not too long ago two songs they produced for Five Grand ( A Vibe’s “Artist On The Verge” performer), “Park Could Talk” and “Once Upon A Time” were played on Power 99fm signaling their introduction to the radio world. Other artists they have produced for or were featured on their beats are Meek Mill who has a tremendous buzz in Philly right now, Big Doom who has worked with artists like The Clipse, Peedi Peedi and Gillie The Kid, Pooda Brown who was featured on both Young Gunz albums, and many other Philadelphia artists. There is no prevailing weakness in Pro-Young because he has strengths in both areas of production, from sampling to making beats that are totally original. The heart and soul of his creativity is never confined. It has ranges from grimy underground to conceptual, body moving beats that are found irresistible at first listen.
