Born August 1st, 1988 as David LaRoy Compton Jr, formally known as P from GF aka Goodfellaz, David has chosen to use his passion, dedication, drive, and determination to chase his lifelong dream. It all began early in his childhood with the musical surroundings of his father who as well held an undying love for music, while teaching him to play the piano at age 10. It was only a few years later when he lost his father which then became his motivation to begin chasing his dream while also carrying on his father’s legacy. In 2005 David linked up with childhood friend Robert also known as Rich and together they formed the group known as Goodfellaz. David had many qualities within himself that held the group together both lyrically and rhythmically. With the natural love and talent that he possessed he was always a shining star that held the potential to one day become successful doing what he loves to do best whicj is music . In fall of 2008 , despite continuing to produce, make beats, and write songs for others, David also began doing the same for himself. Unlike many of the other artist in Cleveland he’s not just a rapper. He not only makes his own beats and writes his own music, he’s also a producer and a piano player
making him versatile in everything that he does. Recognizing his versatility it thus led to David calling himself what he’s now known as which is PtheArtist. As PtheArtist, David began to view music in a different light . PtheArtist became his own everything including manager, promoter, and so forth with the help of his brother and cousin initially making him a stronger person. PtheArtist is both creative and unique with incredible talent that many would only dream of having. Both him as a person and his love for music combined can be looked upon as an inspiration to many people that hold a dream within that at times may seem unattainable. The drive held within him keeps him from stopping at nothing to pursue his dream, despite all of the obstacles he’s faced in the past and those that may come in the future , PtheArtist has everything it takes to be the next best thing rather he’s behind the scenes producing, writing, making beats or if he’s performing on stage.
