Mammothor is a Boston based rock band formed in 2012.  Lead singer Jimmy Douglas fronts the band with powerful blues driven vocals, Josh Johnson is a Berklee Graduate and former student of guitar shred legend Joe Stump while Dana Sharpton currently studies guitar with Greg Howe. Former members Adam Lentine, Brian Perry, Jeff Barberie were integral in forming the comprehensive music of Mammothor.         Bored and Irritated with the current popular rock music of today, Mammothor strives to return the essence of classic rock sensibility, the thunderous hard rock, heavy metal riffs, and guitar shred of the 80's, and rounded out with the passion and versatility of 90's alternative. Mammothor's inspirations from Led Zeppelin to Iron Maiden, and Guns n' Roses to Soundgarden makes their music multi-faceted.        In 2014 Mammothor is releasing its debut album "Tyrannicide." Current members Jimmy Douglas, Josh Johnson, Dana Sharpton, Eric Hanko and Eric Toussaint are carving out the Mammothor sound even further for upcoming live shows and more new music to come.   "The songwriting is impressive and digs a bit deeper than the next independent band. Within each one of these pieces Douglas and the gang capture something special as they bare their soul and delivers what I would call pure musical mojo. It offers much in the way of passion and compelling-thought provoking lyrical content." - Michael Morrison (allwhatrocks.com)   "Invigorating in the sense that it will lift your spirits, and give you a sense of hope that real rock music is not officially dead yet." "Mammothor is a band that gives us a fresh glimpse of what Rock music is supposed to sound like and takes us back a few years." - Joshua Beach (indieartistsalliance.com)   "This dark opus skirts the lines of life and death, love and loss, and everything in between. It’s a primal scream and very human blend of the band’s progressive yet accessible signature jagged edge rock sound." Kim Muncie (skopemag.com)   "The music lives up to its name. Influenced by everything from 70s Zeppelin to 90s Soundgarden, this crew creates a wall of sound that is nothing less than thoroughbred rock and roll." Joshua Smotherman (midtnmusic.com)   "“Slave One Day” is my favorite track here. It’s a tune that successfully plays up the band’s strengths: the classic hard rock muscle; the groovy, hooky riffs; great keyboards and drums; and some rock-poetry in the lyrics: “You came to this world a king, you will leave the world in chains, you will be a slave one day.”. The acoustic version, stripped down to vocals and some nimble acoustic guitar is good too, giving Douglas’ voice some free range." Maria Haskins (hardrocknights.com)
