“Raising Compromise” was founded in Palermo (Italy) in September 2003 on an idea of Davide. “Raising Compromise” was founded in Palermo (Italy) in September 2003 on an idea of Davide. After many split up, the band found a stable line up in Giammimmo (drums), Skinny (Bass) and Davide (voice/guitar). To create a powerful and more melodic sound, they decided to look for a second guitar and voice so on April 2006 Gianluca Schepis (Skè) becomes a Raising Compromise member. He influences considerably the new songs bringing a more melodic sound, not just hardcore. During these years the band played in many live performances in pubs and festivals having a pretty good feedback. In 2007 they record the first EP “We’re coming…” at Circle of power studios in co-production with Phee-O Records.
December 27, 2007: Interview on “Radio2 – RAI (Italian Radio)”. “Hangover” goes live on “Versione Beta” program.
On the first months of 2008 we’re selected for two compilation “Then he said: Phee-O” (Phee-O Records) and “S is For Skate, F is For Fastcore vol 3 Shameless Speed” (available on-line for free), moreover on the web comes out positive reviews of the EP and Lives.
On May 2008 “IndieBox Compilation Vol3” (IndieBox) will be out with the song “Liar” . Another compilation by “Peccirecords” titled “The explosion of punk vol.2”, will be out with the song “Running Memories”.
BIOGRAFIA
I "Raising Compromise" nascono a Palermo dall'idea di Davide nel settembre del 2003, dopo numerosissimi cambi alla voce e seconda chitarra, il profilo della line up prende forma con Giandomenico (Giammimmo) alla batteria, Fabrizio (Skinny) al basso e Davide alla voce/chitarra. Nel 2005 la band inizia a creare i primi inediti, ma l’assenza di una seconda chitarra e di una seconda voce non le permette di trovare il giusto equilibrio fra armonia e potenza. Il 2 Aprile 2006 entra ufficialmente a far parte del gruppo Gianluca (Ske), gia impegnato in passato in alcuni live dei Raising Compromise come seconda chitarra, il suo arrivo ha influenzato notevolmente la stesura dei primi brani accostando il suo gusto “melodico” all’hardcore. Nel luglio 2007 i Raising Compromise registrano presso il “Circle of Power studio” un Ep di 6 brani “we’re coming..” in co-produzione con la PHEEO-O Records.
Il 27 Dicembre 2007 su “Radio2” durante la trasmissione radiofonica “Versione Beta” viene passato “Hangover” dopo una breve intervista alla band.
Durante i primi mesi del 2008 escono due compilation “Then he said: Phee-O” (Phee-O records) e “S is For Skate, F is For Fastcore vol 3 Shameless Speed” (scaricabile gratis on-line), mentre nel web cominciano a comparire le prime recensioni positive dell’EP e dei live.
A Giugno 2008 è prevista l’uscita della “IndieBox Compilation Vol3” (Indie Box) con il brano “Liar” con distribuzione Self che ci vedra’ accanto a nomi come Avenged Sevenfold, Invasione degli Omini Verdi, Pornoriviste e molti altri con relativa recensione sul magazine RockSound di giungo e numerose webzine come Staypunk, Sowdust, Troublezine. Nello stesso periodo, edita dalla “Peccirecords”, un'altra compilation “The explosion of punk vol.2” con il brano “Running memories” insieme a The Fire, Gerson, Cattive abitudini e molte altre band con una tiratura di 2000 copie.
