RappaSharpp Sharpp, raised in a single-family household in Long Island , New York was one of five brothers whose struggles and contributions to his family and career have shaped him into the relentless individual he is today whose name is synonymous with musical talent. Music has continuously played a key role in Sharpp’s life and is one of his passions that kept success on the forefront of his mind. Some of Sharpp’s earliest performances were at local night clubs and talent shows with a rap group called the “Hostyle Huntas” which subsequently separated, but Sharpp knew that being in the hip-hop industry was his true aspiration, so he began pursuing a career as a solo artist. Sharpp has won contests and shows in all 50 States including the Infamous Floss Inc. Ski Weekends with Trey Songz, OShy (Bird Gang), 106 & Park, The Secret Open MIC contest with Rah Digga, The 50 Mics Tournament 2 @ Spot Light, The Spy Night Club Event, Sabor Lounge ( Atlanta ) and Harlem Lanes Toy and Clothes Drive Charity Event. In 2006, Sharpp was the main poster boy for Akademiks clothing line which appeared in a variety of major magazines such as Vibe, The Source, XXL and on Billboards throughout the tri-state area and M.T.A System. In 2007, Sharpp collaborated with Fat Joe on his hit single “Oh My Goodness” which was featured on The Wendy Williams show on 107.5 WBLS, The Miss Jones show on Hot 97 and was later spun several times by fourteen radio stations along with DJ Kay Slay. Recently, Sharpp has also participated in traditional movie roles alongside actors such as Russel Crowe and Denzel Washington in “American Gangster”, the extended version (2008), Jodie Foster and Terence Howard in “The Brave One” (2008) and Sharpp has also impersonated Eric B in the Wendy Williams movie “Queen of Media” which is pending release. In February 2009, Sharpp did a Sprint Commercial which aired several times and most recently collaborated with Cheri Dennis of Bad Boy on a song called “The Stage” which is pending release.
