About R&B Bombers
Ventura, CA
As Jon Norton of WGLT Blues in Illinois describes them, "The R&B Bombers are a killer jump blues band from Southern California." The band originally formed in the early 1980's and had some great initial success with their first LP simply entitled "The R&B Bombers", played in countless festivals all over Southern California and was the house band at the Ojai Bowlful of Blues for the first three years of it's existence, backing up artists such as Charlie Musselwhite, Johnny Copeland, Eddie Cleanhead Vinson, and Pee Wee Crayton to name a few.
The R&B Bombers broke up in the late eighties due to "internal conflicts" but the good news is, the band got back together in 2008 and is releasing a new CD in the late spring of 2009.
