My music has a lot of substance & meaning that the public can relate to everyday. I appeal to every generation, every type of person, every situation, ranging from club music to political views, I make good MUSIC!!! R Dot Bio: Being raised by a single parent isn’t the easiest thing, so being raised by a single “white” female in the middle of the hood, definitely couldn’t be defined as easy. RC “R Dot” Creekmur could tell you all about that first hand. Born and raised in the small town of Coatesville PA. (Located just outside of Philadelphia), R Dot’s childhood wasn’t what some would call ‘a piece of cake’. “Growing up I didn’t have my father around and my mother raised me and my sister“. “My mother is the strongest person I know, she’s the reason I am who I am today.” R Dot’s mom worked very hard to take care of the two until she fell ill. With his mother constantly in and out of the hospital, and no “at home” father figure, R Dot was forced to face adolescence at an early age. “It was tough, times definitely got hard for me and my sister,” R Dot recalls. “As a youngin I was all into sports, I mean I loved music but to keep it 100% I never thought of a career as an artist, nor did I ever imagine I’d co-own a label!” With his mother having a serious heart condition R Dot had to start working, forcing his talent in sports (baseball, basketball and football) to be pushed to the back burner. “I started working so I could have extra cash in my pocket, and so I wouldn’t be putting pressure on my mom by needing her to pay my expenses. Once I did that I didn’t have enough time for practices everyday and what not so I just quit, I figured I was doing the right thing. His first job is where he realized he could actually do the music scene. I’d be at work on the register bored, so I started writing lyrics on receipt paper, nothing serious (at least I thought). One of my managers at the time (Chris Bates – R.I.P. 2-4-07) had noticed what I was doing and took serious interest in it. He told me that I had potential and I could really do this if I wanted too.” Coming from an older more experienced mc that meant a lot to R Dot. He was given his first rap name (“Gambit”) by his former manager, and this is how it all began, but never did he believe that he would become the artist you all love today. “I was about 17-18 yrs. old when I seriously got into music, writing original tracks and when I started actually recording…ok so it was only on a desktop PC but that was big for me then,” he says laughing. “I still wonder where I’d be if I hadn’t quit sports, but working was the best thing that happened to me. In high school I started working in a pizzeria, that’s where everything REALLY began.” There R Dot meet B. Harv. Although R Dot was beginning to explore his options as an artist, he had never been deeply serious with it until he me B. Harv. “If it wasn’t for him who knows, I might still be recording on my computer in my kitchen!” B Harv opened the doors for me as an artist. This guy was willing to devote so much of his time to me for absolutely nothing, now if that isn’t motivation that I don’t know what is.” R Dot and B. Harv along with lifetime friends (of both R Dot & B. Harv) A. Jermaine and J. Hill, decided to start a label. On New Years Eve 2004, Var-City Entertainment was formed which is known today as Dreams To Reality Entertainment (DTR Ent.). “I had to take advantage of this opportunity to work with guys that were just as committed to this as I am“. Since linking up with these fellows, R Dot looks to have a very promising future ahead of him. With his mind set on his goals, and a strong team to be his backbone, he has major plans for the industry. R Dot has participated in numerous events throughout the East Coast and has had the opportunity to open for several major recording artist such as Freeway, Peedi Peedi, and DJ Scratch of The Roots. He has also performed at a presidential campaign fund-raising event for the Obama Campaign. R Dot also was featured in Next Magazine, and has music in regular rotation on Chester County Internet Radio and Street Radio (which is heard all the way from the US to the UK)!! With a large number of performances under his belt, R Dot is ready for ANY stage! </embed></div></font>
