ReAnna M. Ruiz Singer/Songwriter ReAnna M. Ruiz started singing at an early age. Her childhood dreams catapulted her into her new found reality of becoming a professional singer, legend, and ultimately, a Grammy award winner. Most of her singing accolades began in school and have only gotten increasingly better with time and experience. ReAnna was selected to the NJ Central Region Chorus for four consecutive years in high school and was featured as one of the soloists. She was also selected to perform with the All State Choir, All Eastern Choir (MENC), All Eastern Choir (ACDA), and the All National Choir (ACDA). As a sophomore, she auditioned for the newly formed All State Jazz Choir and was not only selected for the group, but was one of the featured soloists three years in a row. During high school, ReAnna was very involved with theater and acting Her credits include: “The Lady Cries Murder” playing the role of Rita Jamaica; “Pippin” playing the lead role of Fastrada. Credits after high school include: “Diary of Anne Frank” playing the role of Mrs. Van Dan; “Runaways” playing the lead of Lidia (this was also performed off-Broadway at the Producer’s Club); “Hair” playing the lead role of Sheila Franklin and “West Side Story” playing the supporting actress role of Anita. A review of “Hair” by Stuart Duncan in the October 2, 2000 Issue of the Princeton Packet stated that ReAnna’s performance was “Perhaps the most startling of all – ReAnna Ruiz, pretty, innocent, the voice of an angel, though not yet fully trained; a high-school senior of only 16 who promises to be a star of the future – as Sheila, achingly torn between two souls.” After graduation from Monroe Township High School in 2001, ReAnna auditioned for and was accepted to Berklee College of Music. After considerable reflection of where she wanted to go with her life, she decided to write songs. In the summer of 2001, she wrote four demo songs. This prompted her to create an even more in-depth 13 song demo. Currently, ReAnna is playing and performing at schools, functions, events, and special VIP programs for executives as well as A&R’s from major labels. She is also performing at clubs and bars in New York City. In addition to her music career, she is actively working in Modeling doing print and catalog work and going on acting auditions.
