I have played or sang in front of schoolmates, elementary students, for hundreds when I opened for Marianas Trench, and more on other occasions. I am involved with our school’s “rock band” which is an auditioned class where we cover a wide range of songs and learn a lot about music, performing, and the stage.I have an awesome drummer, Brennan Kennedy, who is SO very talented. I have written countless songs and I’m always jotting down my feelings, lessons learned and things people say. Music is basically what keeps me sane, and without it I don’t think I could enjoy it at all. One of the goals I’ve always wanted to achieve in music is to inspire people and be someone’s reason for going on, kind of like what music is to me. I grew up listening to a lot of different kinds of music from classical to R&B. The first time I realized that music was the only thing I wanted to do was probably growing up going to church three times a week and singing all the songs. Even though I dreaded going, I loved the music. I used to and still imagine every day that I’m on a stage in front of thousands of people.
