Freeport, Bahamas is not only home to sun, sand and sea it is also where 27 year old Galen Godet, aka REDDAH, has been honing his skills. With a signature flow, REDDAHS rapid-fire delivery and thought provoking lyrics entertain his audience with every performance. While he chooses not to get caught up in just gangsta rap, he sings about the perils that he and others have come across and that life is all about certain choices. While The Bahamas does not boast a large Hip Hop scene, REDDAH is not left behind in the culture. He pays homage to Tupac, Biggie, Run DMC, Bone Thugs,Sizzla ,Bob Marley and a host of others as major influences in his music. And while Hip Hop is foremost in his vocal talents, Reggae and R&B singing also add to his arsenal of abilities. Many of his mix-tapes include him singing the hooks, and showing he has great understanding of what needs to be brought to the table to make sure his songs are his and unique. In summer of 2005 Reddahs demo was heard by singer/producer Patrice Rushen who got Reddah to go to California and begin work on his demo tracks and music video for some of the top record labels.
