My name is Lamarkist Barnette aka "Rehab da Shepperd". I now own my own label called Cold Naturd Villianz Productions with 5 upcoming artist. I am starting another Genre called "Rip Hop" which consist of my artist, upcoming artist that are not signed neither have been heard before. These artist will be a fusion of Hip Hop and "Rip Hop".
Rip Hop will be grounded as a genre that consist of artists that know how to create, record, mix and master their own product. They will also stand by their product, promote through performances, streaming on the internet, opening shows, etc.
I started writing music at Morris Brown College in 1993. As a trumpet player and brass player, I excelled into the digital realm starting with a Dr. Rhythm 770. Later on I progressed and started recording with a group called "Thoed Off Clik" as a beatmaker for a year. We performed on the Acces Channel and BET New Artists in 2005 with the song "Ya Momma".
As time went on, I started doing my own thing performing at 20 Grand in College Park which is now known as Backstage on Godby Road. Feeling myself in my music, I came up with the label Cold Naturd Villianz Productions (CNV). I started recording my own self, mix and mastering and going out to open mic shows getting it in. I now perform at Queen City at the West End, and Off Da Bones in Rex, Ga.
As I am excelling in the music I started meeting other artist, doing songs with them, and pushing the material. I now created a studio which consist of digital and analog instruments. Recording is my thing and I want to be as big as Motown.
My future goal is to create a music school that deals with learning how to do your own music, record, mix and master, creating web pages and logos, etc. This school will also give you a free minor in the computer field that are state accredited.
Through this journey to the top I plan to progress in the genres of Hip Hop, RnB, Gospel, World and Techno, and Rock and Roll. I shall and will excede through producing diamond hits throughout this lifespan, thus said Rehab da Shepperd..
