Born listening to Elvis, Eddie Cochran, and Buddy Holly; growing up listening to The Stone Roses, U2, Oasis, Blur; and finding their soul listening to Chris Isaak, Ray Lamontagne, and true country such as George Straight; 'reijo' blends and balances the influences of artists who have inspired them and crafted songs true to their hearts that deal with the heartbreak and happiness that exists in the soul of all persons of the world. From their opening track entitled 'When The World Starts Again', one can get a sense that this music has a heart and has a purpose in reflecting how unbalanced our existence has become. The songs continue painting a picture with strong reflective lyrics balanced with melodic ambient shimmering guitars to find the soul of the listener and open hearts and eyes on the hope that we can all bring balance to the world around us and share new ideas with each other. All the songs fit together without being the same and start to bring the listener inward examining the battles of the soul such as the battle for the body and heart of 'Reason and Desire' and the decisions we make with 'You're Gonna Realize'. Blending all their influences is what keeps them grounded to where they came from and where they are going.
