Relapse: Profiling the BandResiding in Hebron Indiana, a small midwestern farm community, Relapse currently consists of five dedicated musicians. Relapse is a group of musicians who are passionate about preserving and evolving the infinite range of possibilities in creating rock and roll. Each member is uniquely qualified in musical ability and a multifaceted use of various chosen instrument(s). The sound produced by these five artists ranges from familiar strains of classic rock to innovative works of creative imagination. The inception of Relapse took place in the middle of a local cornfield over seven years ago. Over tassels of corn, musical philosophies and long suppressed ideas flowed among the original three members. At its earliest phase, this band transitioned through numerous members. After three years of trial and error, Relapse had struck the right chord. In the fall of 2002, lead guitarist Ryan Howe had recruited the impressive bass skills of Zach “Heavy Z” Miller. Within two months, the seemingly endless search for a compatible front man had come to an end. The inclusion of charismatic showman Carson Buchanan enhanced the bands potential for success and audience appeal. Despite many trials, the perseverance of the band prevailed, culminating with the addition of the brothers Kenny and Kyle Ingram. Through Kenny’s impressive guitar style and Kyle’s percussive intuition, Relapse had finally reached a pinnacle of performing potential. Currently Relapse performs regularly at private engagements and various local venues. In April of 2004, “Relapse” had finished work on their self-titled debut album. The album consists of nine original and two promotional (cover) tracks. November through February of 2005-2006 were occupied with the making of Relapse’s second album, Will Rock For Food. “Relapse” continues to produce new songs and plans to be finished with the most recent album in February of 2007. With a large repertoire of music ranging from numerous cover songs to a plethora of originals, Relapse has over seven years experience in writing, performing, and perpetuating the essence of rock and roll.
