Renegades began in 2005 when band members Brett and Russ were taking a drive and Brett popped in this demo, "hey Russ check out this 80's shit i've been working on, I did this in my basement". Russ was instantly hooked. "If you want, you can help me work on more songs like this" Brett said, and Renegades was born, with that ancient demo becomming what is now the song "Smoke and Mirrors"

Brett and Russ have known each other since highschool and played in several bands together, the most recent being Adaline (www.myspace.com/adaline). They worked on an e.p. originally for Renegades while Brett was playing with another band in North Carolina, however upon the break-up of that project, more time was available for Renegades and the two began demoing a full-length record

Beginning in February 2007 Russ and Brett brought on Sean Foreman (3oh!3) to handle live keyboard duties and played several shows with him. However due to 3oh!3's vastly growing popularity Sean left. The last few shows Renegades have played have been accompanied by Brett's roomate Brandon Richier

Now nearly two years of writing and demoing later, the debut full length is finished being written. Currently the full length is being recorded and should be released sometime in late September to early October, so be on the look out
