RESSE RAWAY : BIOGRAPHY As hip-hop turns to a new generation of artist to represent it’s future. One name has emerged as if out of the blue, Maurice “Resse Raway aka God of the Tri states” Richardson has become the talk of many Hip-hop lovers, as well as promoters and record execs. Resse Raway was giving his name in 1999 for having a raw lifestyle, When asked Resse Raway quotes, “That’s the only way to go”. Listening to his music you actually since the full pleasure of his pain, It’s like having sex with no condom on. Born in South Philadelphia,Pa. on March 6, 1984. By the age of 5 he begun traveling with his Mom & Pop who were known djs locally around the tri-state area. (Pennsylvania, New Jersey & Delaware), He seems to have come from a musical background taught the music business young by his Grandmother the late Ethel Davis, who put out such songs as “You Belong to Me” and known mostly for the song “So Lonely” published by Lexie Music Publishing Company in 1965 on AL Records. By the age of 9, he could tell you what a music sheet was, How a publishing company works, etc. After the death of his little brother Marcus in 1998, Raway moved back to Delaware to reside and at age 14 started Producing tracks for local Delaware artist and a list of promoters. By 15, Resse Raway was negotiating a contract with Ruffhouse Records, while promoting his group LTDT which released “We in this thing” in 2000. In the midst of the events that were taking place he fell deep into the streets, which lead him to prison. By age 18, Resse Raway was doing 3 yrs. On weapon charges. After his Release in 2005 Resse Raway released Real Rap Vol.1, which had the hit singles Sh*t still the same and Pass the feeling featuring Butter B. While working on his second project “Murk DVD” a rap dvd feat. Arlis Mchaels, Philly Swain, Swish Maddi, Manzie ock and other Artist. Resse Raway got violated for probation which sent him back for yet another yr. Thankfully Murk DVD became a success. As well as, Resse Raway’s 1st music video he directed Third World’s “Pick Me Up Video”. Which was featured on Thisis50.com, they quoted that the video was original and very entertaining. Other accomplished before his second incarceration included features on mixtapes such as Philly Swain’s Hood Celebrity mixtape and B.A. clothing line’s hip-hop DVD “ Block Athletic DVD, a few battle raps, etc. Released in September of 2008, Resse Raway dropped his most anticipated 2nd mixtape “Raw Deal”, which was featured on Rapsitereview.com and Datpiff.com. By 2009, Resse Raway had followed in the footsteps of his late grandma by starting his own indie-label Livewire Records. The label, as of late has been performing constantly in such cities as Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York, Miami, Wilmington, Dover, etc. His catalog of 500 songs, are now in the process of being published by Richardson Family Publzshzng (ASCAP). Currently, he has been collaborating with such stars as "Joe Stonestreet". (original member of the legendary group BlackStreet),former Roc-a-fella/StateProperty Artist Omillio Sparks, Universal recording artist & producer Mikey Jay, G-unit Philly/Mad FlowTv Music Ceo Mad Flow, just to name a few. The new project Shattered Dreams to a Raw Reality is stated to be the big project in 2011, release scheduled for Mid-Summer.
