Returns is a three-piece alternative rock band from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Taking cues from icons like Helmet, Black Sabbath, Silverchair and Foo Fighters, Returns deliver a new spin on a classic vibe. Forming in late 2005, the band has since played over 50 shows supporting and playing on bills with leading Australian Acts like Trial Kennedy, Horsell Common, Repeat Offender and Final Days of Autumn. At the end of 2007 the band recorded at Modern Music Studios with Rick Hollis (Sunk Loto, King Mungi). Modern Music was the studio used to record albums by The Butterfly Effect and Parkway Drive. This year saw the band win a myspace competition to support Horsell Common and Trial Kennedy in Brisbane, beating out over a hundred other entries. 2008 also saw the band's track 'Dead End Shuffle' reach a nationwide audience of over 150,000 people, featuring on Blunt Magazine's Loud Noises CD compilation. This compilation saw the band lined up beside big names Atreyu and Behind Crimson Eyes. In August 2008 Returns played the first Massive Sounds Festival with prominent acts such as Final Days of Autumn and Diana Anaid. In 2009, Returns will release and promote their debut EP.
