Richard McCree started at the age of seven years old he knew he was born to sing. As a youngster he formed many singing groups, and preformed in many talent shows and senior citizens homes. Richard McCree started at the age of seven years old he knew he was born to sing. As a youngster he formed many singing groups, and preformed in many talent shows and senior citizens homes. He Performed with other young singers in groups and many times as a solo artist as well At the age of thirteen he joined a band called Direct Current and they played many venues around the Metropolitan Detroit area. They also performed at block parties and private parties. Richard decided to try taking his singing abilities to the next level by recording a song for the first time at United Sounds Studio. At the age of fifteen he sang the song entitled "We just want to Have Some fun" and had it recorded. Richard vowed to have a song on the radio by the age of twenty. In 1986 he made that dream come true by winning the Budweiser showdown comtest with his group Venum. They played the song on the radio station W.G.P.R. 107.5 (Detroit) for several weeks. The song was titled "Heart to Heart". The song became the number one most requested song at the time. Richard then took his talents to another level by joining and touring with the National Recording Group Kiara from Detroit Michiagan. The time period from 1988 to 1990 he began playing all around the United States with many major artist such as Patti Laabelle, Luther Vadross, Whitney Houston, New Edition, and a host of other recording artist, movie actors and Actresses, and pro athletes. Richard has also performed in a number of plays from 2000 to 2004. The Plays include, "The Choice", "The Hourglass" and "Christa Heaven". Richard has also performed in the starring role in all the plays. All the songs were written and produced by Richard. Then on a personal high note he was able to sing with the 1960's group "The Originals" in the year 2002 with his cousin Crathman Spencer a.k.a CP Spencer until his death in 2004. Since then Richard has been singing around the Metroploitan Detroit area with various "named" groups as well as singing as a solo artist. He now sings with the 4-man group called "Four Pleasure".
